Do both the Bible and Koran say to kill infidels? Some suggest the answer is yes. You can easily find websites which confirm this. This podcast question comes from a show on CNN which said that both the Bible and Koran instruct adherents to kill infidels. How do we answer this question? We go right to the Bible and Koran and honestly look at what they both say.

Two websites I read said that Jesus was teaching his followers to kill infidels when he said:

Those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them, bring them here and kill them in front of me.” (Luke 19:27)

What’s preposterous about this accusation is that Jesus was simply quoting a nobleman in a story. This is easily discernable if you look at Luke 19.

What if I were to say; “Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.”

If I said that, you wouldn’t say “Mark said something brilliant.” You’d say “Mark is quoting Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.”

Those two websites were doing what so many others are trying to do: deceive people into thinking that the Bible says something that it doesn’t.

In this podcast I take an honest look at both the Bible and the Koran regarding the teaching to kill infidels.

But if you don’t believe me, I challenge you to simply look at who the terrorists and oppressors are today. It is not Christians, it is Muslims who are committing terrorist acts; kidnapping, beheading, murdering, subjecting to slavery, even sexual slavery and so on.

Are all Muslims terrorists? Certainly not! But while not all Muslims are terrorists, most terrorists are Muslims.

Why is this so? Because they follow the teaching of the Koran.

Listen to this podcast to hear the passages of the Koran they follow.

On the other hand, Christians do an astounding amount of charitable work to relieve human suffering. Here are two articles that dig into this fact:

What motivates Christians to do so much good for fellow human beings is the teaching of Jesus and the Bible:

Matthew 5:44 “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you

Romans 12:18 “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live in peace with EVERYONE.”

Romans 12:20 “If your enemy is hungry feed him; if he is thirsty give him something to drink.”

1 Corinthians 4:12-13 teaches: “When we are cursed, we bless, when we are persecuted we endure it, when we are slandered we answer kindly.”

1 Peter 3:9 “Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing…”
